Launch 2021-22

The virtual launch of the 92nd edition of méLAWnge, our annual Law Magazine was a proud and memorable event. We were honoured to have Hon’ble Justice A.S. Oka as our Chief Guest, whose thoughtful message emphasized the importance of justice, ethics, and critical legal thinking. His presence brought great inspiration to the occasion. This edition featured an exclusive interview with retired Justice S.J. Kathawala, offering insights into his judicial journey and philosophy. A special contribution by Devdutt Pattanaik enriches the mythoLAWgical segment, linking mythology with legal ideas in a fresh and engaging way. A commemorative feature titled “Lions of the Law” served as tribute by legal luminaries like Justices Oka, Kathawala, and R.D. Dhanuka, to commemorate Professor Homer Pithawala, a respected teacher and mentor. The Knockout event on “Rights and Rites” explores the balance between legal rights and cultural practices, encouraging thoughtful debate on a complex and timely issue. The event concluded with a warm vote of thanks by Chief Student Editors Khadija Hetavkar and Sanika Dalvi, acknowledging the efforts of contributors, mentors, and peers who brought this edition to life. The 2021-22 magazine stands as a tribute to meaningful legal discourse and collaboration.
