KnockOut! 2023-24

Knock Out! is the flagship event of the Magazine Committee, is an annually organised debate in which two participating teams of two speakers each, engage in intense deliberation and put forward their views on the issue at hand to win the votes of the house. Each team consists of one current student of GLC and one ex-student of GLC who is a practicing advocate. The debate is Moderated by a prominent legal luminary with expertise in area of law to the issue in discussion. The topic for this year was ‘Freebies or Welfare Measures: Handouts or Pillars of Democratic Socialism’ For the Proposition were Ex-student Ms. Isha Prakash and final year student Ms.Yashasvi Suroliya, followed by Advocate Ms. Drasti Jain and final year student Rajdeep Mukherjee for the Opposition. The Moderators for the debate were esteemed Senior Advocate Mr. Sanjay Singhvi and Ms. Jane Cox, Counsel.
